How we use your data, the providers involved, and your choices and rights.

The short version
- We store account details and the data you create. Email/password accounts store a password hash; external sign-in does not give us your provider password.
- We don’t sell, rent, or share your data for marketing.
- Providers help us host the service, send email, interpret searches, filter job descriptions and handle payments. The full policy names them and explains international processing.
- We use necessary sign-in cookies and preference storage, some of which persist between visits. We do not use advertising cookies.
- We use HTTPS, password hashing, restricted system access and encrypted recovery backups.

Your rights
Swiss data protection law and, where applicable, the EU or UK GDPR give you rights over your data. Account deletion removes active account records; recovery backups and records held by providers have separate retention periods, explained in the full policy linked below.
Pro payments
Your email is provided to Stripe at checkout. Stripe collects payment details, billing address, and tax information directly. We store customer and subscription references, trial usage, status, and billing dates to manage your Pro access. We do not store full card numbers or security codes.
Stripe processes payment and billing data under its privacy policy, including processing for fraud prevention and legal obligations. Deleting your Job Seek account does not erase payment records that we or Stripe must retain.

Product updates and offers are optional. We record your choice, email address, language, consent wording and date. You can unsubscribe in Settings or through a link in each product-news email. This does not change your job alerts or account emails.
